Sous le toit de l'Échelon is a residential non-profit organization providing quality, accessible and safe housing to adults experiencing mental health problems.
MISSION
Thanks to the support of l’Échelon des Pays-d’en-haut, Sous le toit is much more than social housing. It is a safe space that promotes each resident’s autonomy, sense of responsibility and belonging through helping one another and caring for their environment.
ADMISSION CRITERIA

Be an adult experiencing mental health problems

Earn an annual income of $35 000 or less

Reside in the Laurentians region for at least 12 of the previous 24 months

Be eligible with the Société d'habitation du Québec (SHQ)

A meeting will be organized to determine your eligibility and place you on the waiting list.

When an apartment becomes available, a selection committee will prioritize the waiting list according to criteria determined by L’Échelon des Pays d'en Haut and the Société d'habitation du Québec.
